We have a foursome for your delight this month as we are joined by two special guests. Firstly, comic book aficionado, writer, geek and all-round great guy Patrick Montgomery (@pjmontgomery) was chosen for this podcast because of his love of the genre and expert opinion regarding comics in general. Secondly, the Everyman in our geek soup of guests, Mark Chatterley (@nufkin, writer, sitcom creator and podcast producer who runs In Ear Entertainment) brought a non-fan outlook to the proceedings.

Our first film of the shoot out (in chronological order) was the Kenneth Branagh directed Thor. Brilliantly directed or too bogged down in it’s Shakespearian illusions? Our intrepid team have a difficult time with this one. Find out why.

“The powerful but arrogant warrior Thor is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard and sent to live amongst humans on Earth, where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.”

One superhero might be said to be  enough but this wouldn’t be a shoo-tout if we didn’t compare like-for-like and for this we have the wonderful Captain America: The First Avenger. Joe and Mark were both a little sceptical before this film began but P.J and Stephen already said that they liked it. What will the final verdict be

“After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America’s ideals. “
